Hi, I’m Simona. I started Abuelita’s Wellbeing during lockdown - what began as a way to stay motivated in uncertain times soon grew into something much bigger.

I'm a Massage Therapist, a Level 3 Personal Trainer, and a Social Entrepreneur. My path into this work began with my own struggles with mental health. I started gifting myself regular massages, and those sessions helped me reconnect with my body and feel more present. That experience sparked my curiosity about the mind-body connection and inspired me to train as a therapist. And recently, as a Personal Trainer. 

I combine my professional training with an intuitive approach, drawing from my love of Anatomy and Physiology, the Bodynamic system, and somatic practices.

Along the way, I also realized that massage was just one part of the puzzle. It helped me begin the journey, but I needed other therapies to go deeper and meet different layers of what I was carrying—physically, emotionally, and mentally. That insight shaped the evolution of Abuelita’s Wellbeing.

What began as a massage-focused studio gradually became a space for integrated and holistic care. Over time, I invited a team of skilled practitioners to join me—each offering their own area of expertise, from craniosacral therapy and physiotherapy to acupuncture, nutritional therapy, and more. Together, we support the body as a whole, honoring its complexity and its wisdom.

My space is grounded in kindness, non-judgment, inclusivity, and confidentiality. I truly believe that when we feel safe and supported, meaningful change becomes possible.

My Mission
Through Abuelita’s Wellbeing CIC, I’m committed to making holistic care more accessible, especially for those facing mental health challenges or economic and social disadvantage. Everyone deserves consistent support, not just in crisis.

Hi! I am Rohan, a Massage Therapist with  17 years of experience in the field of bodywork, gym goer, and healthy living preacher. 

Areas of Expertise:
I specialize in a range of techniques, including Myofascial Release, Neuromuscular Technique, Soft Tissue Release, and Muscle Energy Techniques (MET). These techniques often involve some movement on your part, as well as mine, to help break down fibrous adhesions and improve muscle function. My approach is all about making sure you're comfortable, with a personable and trustworthy demeanor that puts you at ease. I also provide advice on low-impact exercises and promote relaxation to boost your overall well-being.

Philosophy:
One of the most important things I believe as a therapist is the power of listening. Many clients come to me to improve their muscle and joint functionality, but more often than not, they’re also carrying emotional stress they may not even realize. With over 17 years of experience, I’ve learned that creating a safe and secure space for my clients is essential. My goal is to help you feel heard and supported while addressing both your physical and emotional needs.

Hello, I’m Niamh, a MSK Physiotherapist, Yoga Teacher and Acupuncturist.

With five years of experience as a physiotherapist treating a wide range of musculoskeletal injuries within the NHS and in private setting, I’ve had the privilege of helping people navigate the complexities of their bodies and reclaim their lives from pain and injury. 

 

Over time, my passion for assessing and treating musculoskeletal injuries and persistent pain conditions has grown into a deep commitment to holistic care. Often when pain lasts beyond the expected healing time, it is rarely a straightforward physical issue; it often weaves into every aspect of a person’s life—mental, emotional, and social. This complexity demands a personalised and compassionate approach. I blend the best of physiotherapy, yoga and acupuncture to help you heal and regain a better quality of life.

 

My Expertise

Physiotherapy provides the foundation of my work. I offer highly skilled assessments to diagnosed musculoskeletal conditions, following comes a personalised treatment plan, specific to your needs and goals. This often includes education around your condition, an individual exercise program and hands on therapies. All my approaches are evidence-based practices to restore function and alleviate discomfort. When treating chronic pain conditions, this approach requires going beyond the physical symptoms. Addressing the physical, emotional, and mental facets of persistent pain is required to find resilience and rediscover a sense of ease in your body.

 

Yoga adds a unique dimension to my approach. As a yoga teacher, I guide my clients through gentle, tailored practices that encourage mindful movement, breath awareness, mindfulness, and self-compassion. Yoga empowers individuals to rebuild trust in their bodies and find moments of peace, even amidst pain.

Acupuncture complements my physiotherapy and yoga work, helping to regulate the nervous system, reduce inflammation, and promote natural healing. This ancient practice has proven incredibly effective for many clients, providing relief and balance in ways that feel deeply restorative.

Hi, I’m Laura, a former architect turned Pilates teacher. My Pilates journey began in 2015 when I was advised to try it after struggling with persistent neck pain from my work in architecture. Pilates not only relieved my physical pain but also brought me peace and improved my mental health. After practicing regularly for a few years, I decided to share the benefits I had experienced with others. I traded buildings for human bodies and became a certified Pilates teacher through Body Control Pilates®️. This was just the beginning of my passion for physiology and the power of movement.

My Expertise

Although anyone can benefit from practicing Pilates with me, I specialize in Lower Back Pain and Hypermobility, and I am also Pre/Postnatal qualified.

My Approach

I use Pilates as a tool to promote body awareness and overall wellbeing. I’m fascinated by the mind-body connection and incorporate elements from various movement disciplines into my sessions. I have a special interest in breathing and the role of fascia in movement, as well as their impact on our health.

Being familiar with office environments allows me to understand the challenges faced by my desk-bound clients and help them relieve stiffness and improve posture.

Hi! I am Renata Felippe, a Brazilian living in London for more than a decade. I am a Craniosacral Therapist trained by the College of Cranio-Sacral Therapy with a postgraduate degree in working with trauma. My main interest lies in the integration of academic and holistic approaches to mental wellbeing, and by doing that, I brought to the UK a natural healing way for natives called Sacred Fire Energy Alignment 

My approach

My approach to therapy involves a deep sensitivity to each client’s particular context. I can either incorporate sensitive readings into my sessions or focus on the biological structure of the body, depending on the needs and beliefs of my clients. I create a safe space that allows the client’s body to express itself and release uncomfortable memories. I truly believe that we cannot solve traumas or any other health issues without also doing body work and secondly, we often need to use alternative methods of giving voice to things that remain deeply buried and unspoken. I saw many times firsthand how powerful this healing can be, and I wanted to share this with others.

 

Cranio-Sacral Therapy can treat anything from isolated aches and pains to chronic and persistent symptoms. It addresses a wide range of conditions, including colic, ear infections, learning difficulties, asthma, migraines, stress, insomnia, accident recovery, tension, trauma, and birth trauma. The treatment is suitable for everyone, from babies to the elderly, as it involves the practitioner using gentle touch with their hands.

 

I am registered with the Craniosacral Therapy Association in the UK. I run  private sessions. I also support charities both in Brazil and the UK, working with organizations that provide holistic treatments to vulnerable people.

My creative practice
I’m also a movement and visual artist with a strong ecological approach and an
author. I recently published How to be feral: movement practices to re-wild your body with Triarchy Press which asks the reader to challenge their human-biased
perspective and learn from non-humans. My recent art installation ‘We are plants, we are grass, we are Hackney Marshes’ invites the audience to experience being
landscape.
